Many are life-saving when a natural alternative has not been found. All drugs have side effects, but the fact of those side effects being listed does not at all mean everyone will experience any or all of them. Law requires they be listed, even those whose percent of occurrence is extremely remote, like 0.1%. So, please mind that we don't throw the baby out with the bathwater but exercise prudence. Your doctor is cocerrt, all that is normal. I had my gall bladder removed years ago and I started getting acid reflux, I can't say my diarrhea and nausea are worst but I still have them. What I don't have is the excruciating pain my gall bladder was causing, so I don't like what I have to put up with, but it is better than all that pain.
