The best way to go, of course, is to a eat a wide varetiy of foods to get the nutrients you need. Fruits, vegetables, legumes, whole grains, nuts, etc.But, sometimes we don't eat a healthy diet we're busy, too tired to cook, whatever. Everyone is different, but if you're worried about your vitamin intake, try taking a standard, safe multi-vitamin once every couple days and see how it effects your energy, mood, and overall health. If after a couple weeks you notice positive effects, keep on taking them every other day until you can start eating healthy again. If not, then you're missing something else, and it's best not to take the multi-vitamin.If you're experiencing real nutritional issues, go see a nutritionist or consult your doctor.
