Pramoxine with menthol is used to treat itching and pain caused by minor skin irritations such as chapped/cracked skin and eczema.
Pramoxine belongs to a class of drugs known as local anesthetics. It works on nerves in the skin to block or reduce the feeling of pain and itching. Menthol is a counterirritant that works by causing the skin to feel cold and then warm. These feelings on the skin distract you from feeling the itch.
Use of this product is not recommended in children younger than 2 years unless directed by the doctor.
