This product contains a substance called berberine, which can lower your blood sugar. Tell your doctor immediately if you have symptoms of low blood sugar, including cold sweat, blurred vision, dizziness, shaking, fast heartbeat, tingling hands/feet.
A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is rare. However, seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, including: rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, trouble breathing.

This medication should not be used if you have certain medical conditions. Before using this medicine, consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have: high blood pressure, heart disease.
If you have any of the following health problems, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this product: bleeding/clotting disorders, diabetes.
Before having surgery, tell your doctor or dentist that you are using this medication.
Liquid forms of this product may contain sugar and/or alcohol. Caution is advised if you have diabetes, alcohol dependence, or liver disease. Ask your doctor or pharmacist about using this product safely.
Goldenseal must not be used during pregnancy. If you become pregnant or think you may be pregnant, tell your doctor immediately.
This product may pass into breast milk and could have undesirable effects on a nursing infant. Therefore, breast-feeding is not recommended while using this product. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

Before using this product, tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription/herbal products you may use, especially of: antiplatelet drugs (e.g., NSAIDs such as ibuprofen, aspirin), \"blood thinners\" (e.g., warfarin, enoxaparin), drugs removed from your body by certain liver enzymes (e.g., amitriptyline, codeine, cyclosporine, methadone, metoprolol, trazodone).
If your doctor has prescribed low doses of aspirin to prevent heart attack or stroke (usually at dosages of 81-325 milligrams a day), you should continue to take the aspirin. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for more details.
Check the labels on all your medicines (e.g., cough-and-cold products, diet aids) because they may contain ingredients that could increase your heart rate or blood pressure. Ask your pharmacist about using those products safely.
Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with your doctor or pharmacist first.

NOTES:
Keep all regular medical and laboratory appointments.

MISSED DOSE:
If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.

STORAGE:
Refer to storage information printed on the package. If you have any questions about storage, ask your pharmacist. Keep all medications and herbal products away from children and pets.
Do not flush medications down the toilet or pour them into a drain unless instructed to do so. Properly discard this product when it is expired or no longer needed. Consult your pharmacist or local waste disposal company for more details about how to safely discard your product.
